Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) is too often treated as a nice‑to‑have rather than a foundation for decision‑making, governance and long‑term stewardship. Drawing on CRxN experience and wider research, this research examines how TEK contributes to ecological fit, legitimacy, cultural continuity and durable outcomes – and the risks of recognising knowledge without shifting authority.
